CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Alixx Canwell (Chelsea, Maine), and Abigail Minott (Bath, Maine) of the University Maine at Farmington Track and Field team competed in a single event each this evening at the MIT Last Chance Qualifier as they each attempted to qualify for the NCAA Championship.

Canwell competed in the hammer throw today needing to get into the top-22 to qualify for the NCAA Championships. His 53.47 meter throw from the NAC Championship sat him 4 meters out of a chance to qualify. Canwell placed 4th overall at today's qualifier with his best throw marked at 50.63 meters. 

Minott looked to improve on her program record, 10.91 meter mark in the triple jump in her final collegiate meet this evening. Minott's 1st jump was her best jump, reaching 10.65 meters to finish 6th overall in her final event.

Today's meet puts an end to the 2022-23 track and field season for the Beavers.
