Pingree Earns MWBCA Co-Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Maine - On Tuesday afternoon, University of Maine at Farmington sophomore guard Jaydn Pingree (Jay, Maine) was named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) Co-Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a 2-0 week.

Pingree opened up her season on Saturday evening with a 20-point performance, shooting a highly efficient 9-for-11 from the field. She also was a pest on the defensive end of the floor, recording eight steals. She did all of that in just 11 minutes of play as Farmington coasted to their first victory of the season over Fisher College.

Pingree continued her stellar play on Sunday afternoon, tallying a career-high 25 points against Hartwick College. She continued her efficient shooting from the field, knocking down 11-of-17, hitting 1-of-2 from beyond the arc.

For the week, Pingree averaged 22.5 points per game, while shooting 71.4% (20-for-28) from the field.

Pingree and the Beavers return to action on Friday evening, taking on SUNY Cobleskill to open up North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. Game time on Friday is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
