BOSTON, Massachusetts - A handful of University of Maine at Farmington women's track and field athletes traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday to compete in the New England Championships held at THE Track. The Beavers had two relays and senior Erica Johnson (Nobleboro, Maine) compete at the event.

Johnson was the lone Beaver to compete in an individual event, participating in two: the long jump and the triple jump. She placed 22nd overall in the long jump, reaching 4.61 meters on her furthest attempt. Johnson did not record a distance in the triple jump, fouling on all three attempts.

Johnson, first-years Heather Alexander (Orleans, Vt.) and Jenney Lutz (Lebanon, N.H.), along with senior Kennedy Todd (Scarborough, Maine), combined to finish the 4x200-meter relay in 1:54.19. The group raced to a 23rd-place finish in the event.

Lutz, Alexander, and Todd were joined by junior Lina Martinez Nocito (Mt. Vernon, Maine) in the 4x400-meter relay. The group finished with a time of 4:21.64 en route to a 20th-place finish overall.
