STANDISH, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington women's track and field team turned in a strong performance on Saturday at the Monks Invitational, hosted by Saint Joseph's College.

Top Beaver Performances:

The Beavers produced several top finishes across the meet, highlighted by a fourth-place showing from first-year Jenney Lutz (Lebanon, N.H.) in the 400 meters. Lutz crossed the line in 1:03.68, finishing less than a second off the lead. Senior Kennedy Todd (Scarborough, Maine) also competed in the event, placing seventh in 1:07.79.

Monica Lewis (Windham, Maine) posted a pair of top-10 finishes, placing ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 3:00.61 and seventh in the pole vault after clearing 2.00 meters.

In the 5,000 meters, senior Eve Poteet (Fair Hill, Md.) and junior Abby MacDonald (Bangor, Maine) each recorded top-10 finishes. Poteet placed fifth in 21:53.42, while MacDonald finished eighth in 23:40.96.

Senior Erica Johnson (Nobleboro, Maine) delivered a strong performance in the 100-meter hurdles, earning a third-place finish in 17.59 seconds.

First-year Abigail Dumont (Windham, Maine) turned in a solid effort in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, placing third overall with a time of 14:38.20.

First-year Sadie Pierce (China, Maine) added two top-10 finishes, placing eighth in the pole vault (1.85m) and ninth in the long jump (4.54m).

First-year Ashley Roy (Turner, Maine) recorded a fourth-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 32.67 meters and also placed 10th in the hammer throw (32.37m).

The 4x100-meter relay team of Lutz, Hannah Milliken (Greene, Maine), Todd, and Pierce finished fifth overall with a time of 53.97 seconds.
