Box Score NEW LONDON, N.H. - UMaine-Farmington couldn't hold on to an early lead and dropped a 3-1 decision in a non-conference contest at Colby-Sawyer on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops UMF to 3-12 and with the win, Colby-Sawyer improves to 7-7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Kasey Talarico got the Beavers on the board first scoring at 10:27 in the first quarter with Chloe Horn assisting on the play.
- Less than a minute into the 2nd quarter, Kailyn Lapham converted a penalty stroke to tie the game.
- Whitney O'Brien gave Colby-Sawyer the lead with less than a minute to play in the second quarter.
- Charges would add an insurance goal in the third quarter by Alie Jones with Bella Silva assisting.
INSIDE THE BOX
- UMF held the advantage in total shots 13-7 and also on penalty corners 8-6
- Katelyn Rouleau made two saves on the day and Charger goalie Abby Ladd turned away five in earning the win
- Talarico and Alex Bessey lead the Beavers with three shots on goal.
- Talarico's goal was her sixth of the season.
