Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine - The Colby College Mules beat the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers Wednesday evening. The Mules were able to score a goal two minutes and 46 seconds into the game and did not look back on their way to a 7-0 win. The opening mark was tallied by senior Jackie Hill (Franklin, N.H.) on a set play from a penalty corner. Sophomore Casey Winslow (Fairfield, Conn.) grabbed the assist on the goal.
Junior Lillian Kistner (Chevy Chase, MD.) tallied a hat trick for the Mules while Hill finished with two goals and an assist on the evening. Freshman Clair Welch (Denver, Colo.) and senior Kaitlyn Smith (Belgrade, Maine) also tallied goals for Colby.
For the Beavers, they were unable to register a shot as the Mules answered with 29 of their own. The Mules also held a 13-0 advantage in penalty corners.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alicia Bridges (Livermore Falls, Maine) started in net, registering five saves in the first half before giving way to Senior Katelyn Rouleau (Freeport, Maine) who recorded two saves in the second half. Junior midfielder Jennasea Hubbard (Waterville, Maine) registered a defensive save for the Beavers as well.
Wednesday evening's contest was the first of the season for the Mules as they moved to 1-0. It was the third contest of the season for the Beavers who fell to 0-3.
