BRIDGTON, Maine – The University of Maine at Farmington men's alpine team continued its dominant start to the 2026 season with its fourth straight victory. The three skiers who contributed to the team's cumulative time each placed inside the top five, while Farmington also finished with seven skiers inside the top ten.
Seniors Sam Roy (Frenchville, Maine) and Lake Lindelof, along with first-year Magnus Riggs (Fletcher, Vt.), combined to post a time of 3:47.26 in their first-place finish.
Colin Rathbone of Saint Joseph's College of Maine earned the gold medal, finishing his two runs in a combined time of 1:15.23.
Beaver Skiers:
For the second straight day, Roy found himself on the podium. After earning the bronze medal on Saturday, Roy took home the silver on Sunday, missing the gold by just 0.13 seconds. Roy was consistent in both runs, posting times of 37.32 seconds and 38.04 seconds. He secured the fastest first-run time of any skier and finished with a total time of 1:15.36.
Riggs continued to make a name for himself on Sunday, narrowly missing out on his second podium finish of the season. Riggs placed fourth overall with a combined time of 1:15.88, just 0.28 seconds out of third place. He finished his first run in 38.01 seconds and his second run in 37.87 seconds.
Lindelof rounded out the top five with his fifth-place finish. He finished just 0.14 seconds behind Riggs, posting a combined time of 1:16.02 across his two runs. Lindelof recorded run times of 37.78 seconds and 38.24 seconds, respectively.
