Candice Berger Parent graduated from UMF in 1993 with a degreeĀ in Special Education with a minor in Psychology and the CoachingĀ certificate.

A standout in women’s basketball and volleyball, ParentĀ competed in three sports for the Beavers for a couple of years with two seasons in softball.

In volleyball, Parent was honored as the NAIA District 5 Co-Player of the Year in 1992. She garnered All-State First TeamĀ recognition in 1991 and 1992 and All-State Second Team honors in 1990. She also participated in the NEWVA Senior Classic.

In basketball, Parent netted 1,138 career points and at the time of her induction herĀ scoringĀ output stands 12th in program history. At the time she wasĀ also eighth in school records in assists at 305. Following her career, she also assistedĀ Len MacPhee in 1994-1995.
