Vince graduated from UMF in 1989. He has since earned a Master's degreeĀ in Political Science andĀ in Public Administration.

As a successful basketball player for the Beavers he was described as "the most natural player on the team" and "silkyĀ smooth offensively". Vince was the fourth all-time leading scorerĀ with 1,283 career points when he graduated from UMF. Among hisĀ career achievements, he had 523 career field goals and a .530 career field goal percentage.

The 1988-89 season was a successful one for Vince. He was namedĀ NAIA All-District, All-Maine, and co-MVP honors.

Other honors included being named to the MMBCWA All-MaineĀ Collegiate Second Team and the Maine Collegiate All-RookieĀ Team.

At the time of his induction, Vince worked in the executiveĀ chamber of the New York State Governor's Office in Albany, N.Y., and was also a Sage Graduate School adjunct professor. The NationalĀ Republican Congressional Committee had endorsed him as a candidateĀ to run for New York's 21st Congressional seat.
