Peter Grosso graduated from UMF in 1995 with a degree in Community Health.

Grosso played men’s soccer for the Beavers from 1990-1993, earning national, regional and state accolades. He was honored as the Maine Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year and NSCAA All-American Honorable Mention in 1993,

In NAIA District 5, Grosso was recognized three times on the All-Star First Team and once on the All-Star Second Team.

Head coach Bob Leib named Grosso the team MVP in 1993 and Grosso served as an assistant coach in 1994.

Grosso remains active in athletics today as the President of the Southern Maine United Soccer League and President of Maine Sled Hockey and Treasurer for the New England Bruins Sled Hockey Team.

Grosso resides in Westbrook and is employed as the health promotion coordinator at UNUM in Portland at the time of his induction.
