As the only college golfer in Maine history to qualify, Wayne participated in three consecutive fall ECAC championships.  He held the UMF individual record for a low stroke average of 78 in four years of varsity competition.  He also holds a four-year record of 28 wins and nine losses.  Wayne worked for the Maine Department of Transportation at the time of his induction.
