Crystal (Hulit) Cormier graduated from UMF in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education. 

A standout for the Beavers on the softball diamond, Cormier earned All-Maine Athletic Conference honors as a senior following her senior season in 1999, when she posted a 12-5 record with a 1.61 ERA. Her 72 strikeouts still ranks 10th among UMF single season leaders, while her 12 victories is tied for fifth.

Cormier finished her career ranked first or second in virtually every statistical category, with a 2.00 career ERA, a 21-11 record,and 120 career strikeouts. At the plate, this lefty hitter posted a career .441 batting average, and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in hits (104), doubles (20), home runs (10), and runs batted in (66).

At the time of her induction, Cormier was employed as the compliance officer at Town & Country Federal Credit Union in South Portland.
