Debbie Gagnon Gendreau graduated from UMF in 1993 with a degreeĀ in Early Childhood Education.

Gendreau played women’s soccer and softball for theĀ Beavers, receiving state and regional recognition in both sports. At the time of her induction she was third all-time in women’s soccer program history inĀ goals scored with 32.Ā 

On the pitch, Gendreau was honored on the All-NAIA District 5 First Team in 1989 and 1992 and captained the team in 1991 and1992. She was named the team MVP in 1988 and the best offensiveĀ player in 1992.

On the diamond, Gendreau was feted twice by NAIA District 5 ontĀ he First Team (1991, 1992). In 1991, she batted .472 with 34 hitsĀ and a .972 fielding percentage.

At the time of her induction, Gendreau residedĀ in Hampden and serves as the Superintendent of Recreation for the City of Bangor. She continuesĀ to play softball and soccer as well as coach youth sports.
