Jeffrey Neal graduated from UMF in 1991 with a degree in Secondary Education.

Neal manned the pipes for the UMF men’s soccer team from 1987-90 and holds the school record for career shutouts at 32. He received New England Intercollegiate Soccer League All-Star, National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-New England, All-NAIA District 5 and All-State honors in his senior season. A two-time captain, he twice allowed only five goals in a season.

As a coach in the Farmington Recreation Department’s soccer program, Neal was honored with the Jimmy Joe Allen Award for his service. He continued coaching with stints at Yarmouth and Bonny Eagle high schools.

Neal resided in Windham and was a U.S. history and sociology teacher at Bonny Eagle a the time of his induction. He also was a drummer/vocalist for the rock band, Boston.
