Christopher Bessey graduated from UMF in 1993 with a degree in Community Health.

Bessey was a two-sport standout for the Beavers, setting program career records in baseball and men’s basketball.  In basketball, Bessey was known as an irritant on the defensive end as he still holds Farmington's all time record in steals (244). In baseball, at the time of his induction he held the record for triples (7). That record has since been broken.

On the hard court, Bessey finished his career as the Beavers’ third all-time leading scorer with 1,641 points. He earned all-conference accolades and captained the team during his senior season.

On the diamond, Bessey garnered all-conference recognition and was captain of the squad as a senior.  Head coach Bob Leib recognized Bessey as the team MVP in 1992. He also stands third in school history in stolen bases with 37.

In 2010, Bessey returned to UMF as the Head Coach of the baseball team.
