Laughn Berthiaume was a two sport student-athlete that played soccer and basketball. Berthiaume finished his career as UMaine-Farmington’s all-time leader in goals (56), assists (34), and points (146) over his four-year career from 1994 to 1998. His 25 goals and 59 points in 1996 were both UMF single season records. 

A two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American, Berthiaume was a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and received All-Conference and All-Region honors during his men’s soccer career.

On the basketball court, Berthiaume logged career totals of 831 points, 238 rebounds, and 161 assists. His 138 career three-pointers ranks ninth among UMF career leaders, and he holds UMaine-Farmington’s career free throw percentage record with a .844 mark at the line.

Berthiaume graduated with a degree in Education and teaches math at Gorham High School in Gorham, ME and coaches girls' basketball.
