University of Maine at Farmington

Kari Simpson Biggs was a standout women's basketball player in her four years at the University of Maine at Farmington making the First Team All-Conference all four years. She was also on the NAC All-Tournament team for all four years, winning MVP in 2004 and 2007.

Simpson graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington as the all-time leading scorer (1,772), 2nd in blocks (155), and 3rd in steals (301). 

Simpson graduated in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and is now a preschool teacher at Henry L. Cotrell Elementary School in Monmouth.
