University of Maine at Farmington

Julie served as the head of the Univesity of Maine at Farmington Athletic Department form 2001 to 2021.

A trailblazer in UMF athletics, Julie spearheaded a significant transition, shifting all programs from a dual NAIA and NCAA membership model to an entirely NCAA Division III model. During her tenure, she expanded UMF’s varsity offering from nine programs at the time of her arrival to 21, including 15 NCAA programs.

Julie was instrumental in several fundraising campaigns that left a lasting legacy within the Athletic Department. Her efforts supported the dedication of Leib Field, the Len MacPhee Court, and the Meader Hall of Fame Room.

In 2010, Julie was honored with the presitgious National NCAA Division III Administrator of the Year Award by Women Leaders in College Sports (NACWAA).
